HOURS OF OPERATION
Agnes operates out of her home studio in Canada. She often communicates with her clients 24/7 and promptly responds to enquiries. She is eager to hear from her clients! Please allow a day or two for a response if it doesn’t come right away. Agnes is very flexible for studio visits and pick ups and may be open during the daytime, evening and weekends! Her studio shuts down during the Christmas break from December 22nd to December 29nd. Her studio may be closed over her vacation time as well but she will be available over email periodically.
RETURNS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
There are no refunds or returns for change of mind. However Agnes wants you to love your artwork, if you have had the artwork for less than 3 weeks, we can make a direct exchange for another available work of equal value (buyer is responsible for all added shipping charges). Artwork must be returned in perfect condition and shipping insurance is also the responsibility of the buyer.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your artwork arrives to you in a safe and timely fashion.
Artwork is shipped directly from Agnes Kokot studio in Edmonton, AB Canada. Shipping times vary, on most artwork allow 10-14 business days. Freshly painted oils may take take several weeks to dry well enough for shipping, please allow more time. We will notify you of approximate time needed. Delays are rare but may occur, we will do our best to inform you should delays occur.

What about international deliveries?
Yes we can deliver worldwide!

Tracking your delivery
You will receive an e-mail notification with the tracking number of your parcel once the order has been shipped. Packages sent by FEDEX will have shipping status emails from FEDEX sent to the email address provided, please pay close attention to these notifications. Canada and US post will not send notification emails, simply go to their websites and enter your tracking number. Please note that we will not handle any redirections and changes to the shipping at this point in order to not cause confusion or error, it is the responsibility of the shipper/buyer to make any changes and to follow up with the shipper and make arrangements if needed.
Incorrect addresses
If you supply an incorrect address (i.e. the unit number is missing), and the item is returned, then you, the buyer, will be responsible for paying for the re-delivery of the item. Please check the order confirmation email when you receive it that the shipping address is correct. We also send out another email to verify shipping information, please check it and respond with a confirmation. If you do not confirm the shipping information within 24h that confirmation then the address that you provided on the order is used.
Does someone need to be home for the delivery?
We check the box ‘Signature on Delivery Required’ when this is an option with the carrier.
Carriers provide a door-to-door service, which does not include carrying the items inside, placement, or removal of packaging. If your order includes larger items, we suggest having an additional person at the delivery address to assist with the placement of your items inside.
We are unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched.
Does the postage fee include insurance?
Yes, freight costs include insurance.
What if damage occurs during shipping?
Your artwork is packed carefully using as much padding and protection as is reasonable in order to ensure that it arrives safely. The shippers have been extremely reliable in taking care of packages. If any damage does occur to your artwork during delivery, contact us immediately using the contact form or email, retain all packaging and take photographs.
*IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER/PURCHASER TO RECEIVE THE SHIPMENT FROM THE SHIPPING COMPANY, SOMEONE MUST BE HOME TO SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE. FED EX WILL ATTEMPT DELIVERY UP TO THREE TIMES AND WILL NOTIFY YOU BY EMAIL SHOULD A DELIVERY NEED RESCHEDULING. PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH FEDEX IF YOU NEED TO. CANADA POST OR US POSTAL SERVICE WILL BE USED ON OCCASION DEPENDING ON THE PACKAGE. IN THE EVENT THAT DELIVERY ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND THE PACKAGE IS SENT BACK TO AGNES KOKOT STUDIO, THE BUYER AGREES TO PAY FOR SHIPPING AGAIN (SHIPPING CHARGES WILL BE THE SAME). PLEASE NOTE THAT SALES ARE FINAL.
HOLIDAY SHIPPING
Agnes Kokot studio ships the last package on December 19th of the year but does not gaurantee the arrival of your package prior to Christmas. Please allow for more time prior to Christmas for shipping as this is a busy time for all shipping companies. Shipping resumes again on January 9th. The studio is open for most of the holiday season for pick ups, please contact for arrangements.
TAKING CARE OF YOUR ARTWORK
General information about care for any artwork
Keep all artworks well away from weather such as direct sunlight, moisture and dust.
For storage, avoid damp or dusty areas and sharp objects. Keep artwork flat and well-insulated in box packaging. Do not place other objects on top of the artwork.
If future damage occurs to the artwork or frame don’t attempt to fix it yourself. Seek an art conservationist or framer for repairs.
When deciding where to hang your artwork, keep your artwork away from hazards such as liquids and heat. Try to hang it away from moist areas that attract too much dust or mould. Protect it from the weather by hanging well away from windows and swinging doors. Exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided.
Keep original bubble wrap packaging and box in case of future handling or transportation.
ADDITIONAL ARTWORK INFORMATION
All materials from canvas/ wood panels/ papers, paint to varnish are professional artist grade.
All artwork is protected with a minimum of two coats of non-yellowing satin or gloss finish varnish. In the case of artwork with metallic leaf, gloss varnish is always used to maintain the metallic sheen.
All paintings on canvas have hanging hardware attached to the backside for your convenience. Please use proper picture hooks correct for the weight of the painting to ensure the painting is safe and secure on your wall.
The side profiles of paintings have different treatments, look to the painting description and detailed photographs for the finish. Requests may be made for a change to the side finish using the contact form, Agnes will try and accommodate if possible for an extra charge.
GIFT CARDS
Currently available FOR US AND CANADIAN COLLECTORS ONLY.
Gift cards are available through the artwork for purchase/ gift cards section. Select the amount, purchase through checkout providing your or your recipients’ email address. Gift cards are valid for three years.
For gift cards of $500 or more, you have an option of a physical handmade card mailed to you or to the recipient for FREE. A miniature handmade painting on canvas is presented inside a mini gift box. Super sweet!
*First purchase the gift card amount and add your request in the instructions to the merchant field or fill out the contact form and send in the request for your handmade gift card. There is currently a choice of landscape or abstract. Allow approximately 7-14 business days for delivery. The gift card may be used immediately after you purchase the gift card should that perfect piece be found prior to the recipient getting their handmade gift card.
Please note the gift card code will NOT be included in this box, should the gift card box be lost or stolen en route, your gift card code is safe. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and the purchase price must be greater than or equal to the card value.
The gift card code will be sent by email to the recipient and is ready to use instantly.
LAYAWAY/ PAYMENT PLAN
A layaway or payment plan is an option if the collector would like to make payments on artwork over a period of up to a maximum of 12 months. This plan is available for artwork valued at $500 or more FOR US AND CANADIAN COLLECTORS ONLY.
In summary, the artwork is taken off the market after the collector agrees to the payment plan contract and after Agnes Kokot studio receives the first payment. The artwork is kept at Agnes’ studio in safekeeping until the final payment is received, at which point the artwork is released to the collector.
